Broccoli and Articoke Dip

This is entry is a tad overdue, but I thought I'd take advantage of the time Adam is taking to nap right now.  Yesterday started with the usual; work.  In the first two hours, we had one customer!  I am considering making flyers to put out around town to remind people to come get some grub at the shop.  Maybe then, it'd get so busy my boss would stop talking about how bad business has been this summer.

It was an exciting day because I was invited to 4 parties, thanks to graduation season.  I only made it to 3 of them, which were in my town... and two were touching my backyard which made it convenient.  Next door, it was the neighbor's birthday party for their two little girls, so I brought Adam over to say hello.  We attempted to used the slide, and all the little kids were beyond exited to see a baby there.  Adam got to meet the Elmo pinata, and as we left for the next party around back, we had to shield Adam from the sight of them beating Elmo to a pulp.

Party two was for Amanda's 22nd birthday and her and her brother's graduations.  Despite the weather, we had fun!  I ate a lot and we got to watch a live "not so famous" band.  They were really good.  I had the opportunity to catch up with Cassandra again, who I haven't seen since Adam was just barely a week old!

The last party was for my college buddy Eric's 27th birthday.  I got to see his new place, meet his new girl (yay Liz! I'm not implying that he's a player by any means), and again catch up with some friends I haven't seen in a looong time (Rachel & Kristen).  After some dudes immaturely flushed a cake down his toilet, we went to a bar nearby.  The title to my blog, by the way, is a reference to the appetizer the cook pawned off on us (it was free, but why advertise spinach and artichoke dip and then put broccoli in it?).  It was a good time, and Trevor even had the confidence to go in front of everyone to the karaoke stage a start the "Happy Birthday" song.  I was not drinking, otherwise I might have karaoked a song or two.  Fun day, getting excited and nervous for the interview!
